Foundation ZORA participated in the first module of the program Community Potential, held at the IMPACT – European Centre for Cross-Sectoral Cooperation for Sustainable Development in Zadar. As an active partner of the i3.0 Strategic Partnership, Foundation ZORA was responsible for preparing and facilitating part of the activities within this module. The event brought together representatives from 8 cities across three counties, 10 high schools, as well as young people and seniors aged 60+.
First Module of the Program: Goal and Content
The "Community Potentials" program is focused on strengthening the capacities of local communities through educational activities, with an emphasis on sustainable development and social change. The goal of this first module was to empower participants with the skills needed for the effective application of the knowledge gained in their local communities.
Through a series of workshops, lectures, group activities, and discussions, participants worked on developing their competencies in the following areas:
- Networking and cross-sectoral collaboration,
- Identifying potential and resources within the community,
- Creating and implementing sustainable development projects,
- Innovative methods for active community engagement.
Local communities and participants from Karlovac County
We are especially proud that representatives from three cities in Karlovac County participated in the program: Karlovac, Slunj, and Duga Resa. Their presence at this event is the result of Foundation ZORA's involvement as a partner in the i3.0 Strategic Partnership program, which enabled local participants from Karlovac County to join the program.

The role of Foundation ZORA was to participate in the presentation of best practices in sustainable development (using the specific example of Zero Waste cities) and to lead group activities that encouraged participants to think constructively about the challenges in their communities and potential solutions.

Foundation ZORA as a partner for sustainable development of local communities
Foundation ZORA, through activities such as the "Community Potential" program, provides support to local communities with the aim of strengthening and developing them, focusing on sustainable development and tourism. We believe that, through cross-sectoral cooperation and investment in education, the fundamental conditions for long-term progress and sustainability are created.
