On June 24, a meeting of participants of the "Community Potentials" Program from Karlovac County was held at the Aquatika freshwater aquarium in Karlovac.
The meeting was opened by Ms. Cvjetana Plavša-Matić, the director of the National Foundation for Civil Society Development, and Ms. Marija Boltek, the deputy director for development programs. They presented the i3.0 Strategic Partnership for Innovation in the Local Community and the first phase of the implementation of the "Community Potentials" program.
Representatives of the Foundation for Sustainable Development of Local Communities and Tourism – ZORA, director Ms. Draženka Birkić and Management Board member Ms. Nikolina Jović Belavić, presented their activities in the field of sustainable development of local communities, in which they operate as an i3.0 Strategic Partner of the National Foundation in a consortium with the international organization EURAC Research from Bolzano.
The meeting was attended by participants involved in the Program from the Karlovac County area – representatives of the cities Karlovac, Duga Resa, and Slunj, as well as principals and representatives of secondary schools: Slunj Secondary School, the School of Forestry and Wood Technology, the Center for Education of Children and Youth Karlovac, and Duga Resa Secondary School.
All attendees expressed great satisfaction with the cooperation within the "Community Potentials" Program, and further activities of this cooperation were agreed upon. Representatives of the ZORA Foundation emphasized to all participants that, with the support of the National Foundation for Civil Society Development, they will be a support in all upcoming activities, especially in topics related to sustainable development and tourism.
